European Culinary Cards collection
Scope and Contents
The European Culinary Cards collection consists of postcards and advertisement cards depicting food products, cooking, and eating primarily from France but with some representatrion from Spain and the Netherlands. The illustrations and photographs are visually rich and sometimes comical. Some post cards have handwritten messages and canceled postage. Companies represented sell items such as chocolate, cookies and crackers, meats, and wines, including Amatller, Amidon Remy, Cacao Blooker, Charcuterire-Comestibles J. Rousseau, Chocolat Debauve & Gallais, Chocolat Express Grondard, Chocolat Lombart, Chocolat Mignot, Chocolat Poulain, among others.
