Scope and Contents The Joe Cappo collection includes published and original dance band arrangements, as well as published and original medleys and individual songs. All original pieces are written in either pencil or ink whereas the published arrangements are printed and copyrighted. The arrangements are for both instruments as well as voice. The Michigan Womyn’s Music Festival records (1976-2015) contain crew guides and handbooks, maps, banners, t-shirts, programs, brochures, posters, meeting minutes, correspondence, inventories, press clippings, as well as recordings and photographs taken during the festival. The collection gives an insight of the intense effort and amount of coordination it took to make the festival possible, and how it evolved and grew more complex with each iteration.

William G. Lockwood collection of Romani Ethnology and Gypsy stereotypes contains several thousand books and periodicals, numerous visual depictions, over a thousand sound recordings, and several hundred examples of sheet music exploring the representation of Romani and Gypsy stereotypes. The William G. Lockwood Collection of Romani Ethnology and Gypsy Stereotypes is as geographically diverse as the Roma themselves, with publications from Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas.
