Verne H. Church papers
This collection consists of a manuscript, "Personal Recollections of the Government Crop Reporting Service", written in 1943 by Verne H. Church (1875-1949). Church was the first Agricultural Statistician in Michigan for the Bureau of Crop Estimates, known today as the Bureau of Agricultural Economics. He held this position from 1914 to 1942. Church's autobiography serves as a history of the methods used by agricultural statisticians for crop reporting in Michigan during those years.
