Centennial Celebration records
Charles H. Spurway papers
This collection contains Charles Spurway’s thesis on August Wilhelm von Hofmann which was written as an initiation requirement for Alpha Chi Sigma, a national chemistry fraternity. The thesis relates von Hofmann’s life as well as his contributions to chemistry. Von Hofmann’s research pertained mostly to organic chemistry; he enjoyed working with the bases in coal and the gas naphtha. A detailed bibliography is given at the end of the thesis.
Charles Philip Close papers
The papers of Charles Close consist of a photo album containing sepia-toned photographs of student life at Michigan Agricultural College. The photographs are well identified by Close, and further annotation was added by Madison Kuhn and Wilbur O. Hedrick in 1952.
Charles William Bale papers
The papers of Charles Bale consist of college class and laboratory notes on trigonometry, calculus, metallurgy, electrical engineering, design, and roofs and bridges.
Class of 1882 records
The records of the class of 1882 consist of one record book containing meeting minutes, the class constitution, duties of the class officers, plans for Class Day, as well as correspondence directed toward the class.
Collation Literary Society records
The records of the Collation Literary Society contain the handwritten minutes of the society from 1915 to 1929. The minutes describe discussions held by the society, usually pertaining to course materials and readings. Membership, committees, society politics, and society officers are also mentioned within the minutes.

The collection contains one bound subscription book for The College Speculum, an early student newspaper at Michigan Agricultural College. Included in the volume are subscribers' names, addresses, and payment history.
