Scope and Contents

The papers of Emil Volz consist of a scrapbook containing postcards and photographs depicting student life, students, campus scenes, scenes from Pine Lake (Lake Lansing), Michigan, faculty, and athletic events at Michigan Agricultural College. It also contains programs from various campus social functions, numerous dance cards, menus, ribbons, and many items relating to football at Michigan Agricultural College.

Content Description The Florence Kugel Collection consists of a scrapbook and related materials from Florence Kugel Scofield’s time at Michigan Agricultural College. The scrapbook includes class rush photographs, postcards, flyers, and posters; event tickets; event programs for the M.A.C. Glee and Mandolin Club, senior class pageant, military field day, Horticulture Show, and Agriculture Exposition. Also included are football programs, train tickets, dance cards, Sugar Bowl Menu - Lansing, Bijou Theater...

Glee Club records

Scope and Contents

The collection contains newspaper articles about the club, concert programs, a blank contract, and images of the glee club clipped from publications as well as photographs of the Glee Club, Glee and Mandolin Club, and Men's Glee Club.

Also included is an undated (circa 1955) 45 rpm recording called "Men's Glee Club Sings." The songs include Close Behind the Winding Cedar with James McMahon soloist, Spartan Toast, MSC Shadows, and Fight Song.
