The collection contains 60 postcards from Canada, England, the United States, and 32 stereocards primarily of biblical scenes. Twenty postcards are scenes from communities in Massachusetts. Also included in the collection is a photograph of Calvin Coolidge taken by Allison B. Spence of Northampton, Massachusetts, and a tin type photograph of Martha Wonsey, Delos Wonsey and Seraph Wonsey Page (Paige).

Mariette C. Crittenden reminiscences

This collection consists of a typed copy of the reminiscences of Mariette C. Crittenden, written in 1907 when she was eighty-two years old. Her parents migrated from Vermont to Saline, Michigan, in 1831, when she was 6. After a rudimentary education, Mrs. Crittenden began teaching school at age 16. The Mary True Dooley papers consist of materials relating to the Andrews and True families. The Andrews materials include correspondence to and from the Elisha Andrews family, deeds, tax materials, financial information, essays, and sermons written by Elisha. Munnis Kenny journal

This collection consists of the transcription of a journal kept by Munnis Kenny (1788-1862) during a trip from Putney, Vermont, to Ann Arbor, Michigan, in 1828. Kenny recorded his impressions of the trip, the country he traveled through, and the people he met. The journal was transcribed by Kathryn Sorenson in 1964; she included explanatory notes, maps of the areas through which Kenny traveled, and a biographical sketch of Kenny.

Slafter family papers

Personal correspondence among Slafter family relatives and their close friends make up the bulk of this collection. Early letters, dated 1858, tell of the scarcity of money and suggests that barley should be planted because it is the most profitable crop. Family news and town gossip are also prominent items in the letters. A June 17, 1858 letter from another brother to William tells of killing one elk and capturing another. March 12, 1863 letter mentions the sacrifice of soldiers...
