Alianza Hispano-Americana collection

Scope and Contents

The Alianza Hispano-Americana (AHA) collection contains materials which appear to be associated with various ceremonies and activities of the AHA, including ritual books, ceremonial hats, robe, gavel, golden bird figure, and a pyramid plaque engraved with the organizations name and motto. Also included is a voting box and bag with white and black marbles, how many of the early Masonic orders conducted secret ballots, and a paper mache skull.

Ann Kron papers

Scope and Contents

The Ann Kron papers contain personal biographical records of Kron intermingled with records of the West Side Neighborhood Association (WSNA). Topics of records include resources on anti-racism, the Model Cities program, school desegregation and integration, local Lansing-area news and elections, WSNA meeting minutes, announcements, correspondence, and photographs.

Anne E. Tracy collection

The Anne E. Tracy collection contains correspondence, notes, inventories, and miscellaneous material related to the creation of the Special Collections LGBTQ+ collection at MSU Libraries, as well as some biographical material on Anne E. Tracy. The collection traces some of the research done by Tracy to build the LGBT collection, and gives examples of how the collection began to be used in course instruction.

Scope and Contents The Conservatorio de Música Alfredo Levy collection (1880-1996) consists of the personal files of Cuban pianist and composer Alfredo Levy Nadal (1914-1999) and the music library of the Conservatorio de Música Alfredo Levy (active 1947-1962). The collection is comprised of correspondence, artifacts and ephemera, and approximately 1,000 manuscripts, first and very early editions, and printed musical scores. Eclipse Comics records

The first items of the Eclipse Collection were deposited in the MSU Special Collections in 1986. Materials were deposited by Dean Mullaney, Cat Yronwode, and Scott Demming until 2003. The materials in the Eclipse Collection offer a unique look into the comic industry and show the interaction between artist and the publisher. Files may include original artwork, financial records, printing proofs, layouts, correspondence, photographs, run sheets and other media.

Gloria Jean Norris scrapbook

The Gloria Jean Norris scrapbook contains black and white and color photographs documenting the family and friends of African-American girl Gloria Jean Norris approximately when she was in middle school to early years after high school. Many photographs appear to be school portraits with inscriptions to Norris from her classmates. Other images feature family and friends at school dances, weddings, and other social gatherings.

The Jamie Anderson papers consist of approximately 10 linear feet of material dating from 1960 to 2021.
