The "Hannah Archives" Project records consist of the written recollections, as well as transcripts of the oral history interviews and the tape recordings from which they were made. The written statements focus almost entirely on the accomplishments of the Hannah administration, while the transcripts tend to stress the interviewees' career-related experiences. The Hicks family papers include three letters (1841-1846) from members of the Younglove family to William and Nabby Hicks which discuss family affairs, crop conditions in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, and the state of the Democrat and Whig parties in New York. Also included are a Civil War pass (1861) issued to George Hicks at St. Louis, Missouri, a contract (1871) for the building of a home, and a widow's government pension (1878) granted to Nabby Hicks.

The Hooper family papers consist primarily of correspondence between members of the Hooper and Goodwin families living in Oakland and Lapeer Counties, Michigan. The letters discuss family news, agriculture, and the activities of various family members. This collection consists of a letter from James I. Rogers, of Eaton County, Michigan to his brother and sister in Wyoming County, New York, giving a very detailed inventory of his farm and an account of his agricultural prospects. Rogers describes the schools, businesses, and professions in the new town of Eaton Rapids, and tells about the building of the early state capital in Lansing.
