Beth J. Shapiro papers
The collection consists of one copy of Beth J. Shapiro's 1982 doctoral dissertation entitled, "Intercollegiate Athletics and Big-Time Sport at Michigan State University: or 'The Difference between Good and Great is a Little Extra Effort.'" The dissertation outlines the role John Hannah played in the growth of the University and its sports, fiscal trends for college athletics, the relationship between athletics and educational achievement, and the experiences of black athletes.
Boxing (Sports Information Office) records
The collection contains boxing programs and other published materials relating to Michigan State University's boxing program from 1940 to 1958. The collection also contains the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) program from 1959.
Campus Capsules publication
The collection consists of seven issues of Campus Capsules. The newsletter gives information about the activities of each class, campus events such as the finishing of the carillon, WKAR-TV’s first telecast, the 1954 Rose Bowl, and the name change from Michigan State College to Michigan State University of Agriculture and Applied Science. The issues also include information about the athletic teams.
Carol Harding papers
This collection contains manuscripts of two papers written by Carol Harding on the intramural sports programs at Michigan State University. The papers are “Women’s IM: Issues and Directions,” 1974 and “Sports for All: The Making of a Sports Program for Students of Michigan State University,” 1995.

This collection includes personal papers and photographs belonging to Charles C. Hood. The material includes correspondence, copies of certificates and diploma, membership cards, clippings, Michigan State University publications, MSU music recording, and other miscellaneous items dating from 1916 to 1974.

The collection includes correspondence of Charles W. Bachman regarding his nomination to the Football Foundation Hall of Fame in 1978, and Michigan State Hall of Fame in 1981.
