Katherine M. Rickey papers
This collection includes Civil War letters of John (Jan) Nies, of the 2nd Michigan Calvary (most written in Dutch), three post-war letters, a "Record of Ancestry" of the Nies family, and an insurance policy for land owned by Katharine Rickey in King County, Washington.

Kendall family papers
The papers include Civil War letters of John, George, and Daniel Kendall, who served in the 18th New Hampshire Infantry, to their parents in Franconia, New Hampshire, and letters from family friends. Among them is a letter dated June 1, 1863 by William Houston, 24th Michigan Infantry, which describes the situation of Fredericksburg. Also found in the collection is a typescript (1962) giving a brief history of the Houston family.

The collection contains campaign materials, newspaper clippings, and weekly "Washington Reports," newsletters to Clardy's constituents describing his Congressional and committee work.
Kristina Ford papers
The Kristina Ford papers contain multiple edited drafts of "The Trouble with City Planning," with annotations from her husband, author Richard Ford. Also included is a Michigan State University Spring 2018 commencement program and transcript of Ford's speech given during the graduation ceremony. Also included in the collection are two videocassettes: "City Planning Commission Overview Presentation" and Interview on WDSU, 1/9/00.
Land-grant research collection
This collection consists of publications, pamphlets, and monographs relating to the land-grant college movement, Justin Morrill, and the modern land-grant university. There is also a photocopy of the Morrill Act.
