The collection contains material related to hydroplane racing. Included are race programs, 1969-1976; newspaper clippings, 1974; and, sports sections of newspapers, 1974-1976. Hydroplane racing, as well as personalities (owners, sponsors and pilots) involved in the sport during the first half of the 1970s are presented.

This scrapbook collection contains monthly columns and photographs following the gold Cup race and other races from February 1937 to December 1965 in Yachting and Rudder magazines.

Scope and Contents The collection contains two scrapbooks which detail, via newspaper clippings, magazine articles and photographs, the development of the sport of hydroplane racing during the 1940s and 1950s.
