Scope and Contents The collection consists of letters, accounts books, and miscellaneous bills and receipts of the Andre and Hurlbert families. Most of the letters, written in 1874, are from Samuel to Elizabeth as he traveled through Michigan, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Nebraska as an itinerant farm worker.
