The Forbes K. Merkley collection contains materials relating to the For-Mar Farms and Merkley’s livestock. Included are letters of congratulations to Merkley for his prize-winning cattle, photographs, newspaper clippings and articles. There is also a magazine printed by an association of which his wife was a member. In the articles she is mentioned for her charitable donation of For-Mar farm to Genesee County.

The collection contains photographs of the John Patterson farm which was bought from Hiram Allen in 1908. Photographs include the house circa 1908 and 1961, the barn, and an image of horses harnessed to a buggy. The photographs include notes on the back explaining the photos.

The NFE Exchange newsletter contains updates of the activities of the Non-Formal Education Information Center, information on projects and programs, notices of seminars, and information on publications as well as bibilographies. Later issues also contained an article on a topic relating to international non-formal education.

This collection contains the memoir titled "Ox Yoke to Diesel" by Nyle L. Katz. Katz was a farmer whose family has been working the land since 1866 all while maintaining traditions of hard work, honesty, and strong family ties. The volume was copyrighted by the author in 1981.

This collection contains a 56 page booklet, compiled by Marion Vaughn, describing The Saline Valley Farms. The booklet provides information on its historical background, a list of workers, overview of general aspects of life on the farm, demographic statistics on the farm’s population, records of crop history, maps, and photographs.
