Scope and Contents From the Record Group:

The Instructional and Public Television records consist of materials related to WMSB-TV and WKAR-TV including press releases, policy, brochures, reports, and program information. The collection also includes audio-visual materials such as photographs, film and video. These AV materials include Commencements and State of the University events.

The Department of Engineering Drawing records consists of the instruction book from 1907 called “Course in Drawing for Engineering Students Michigan Agricultural College by W.S. Holdsworth & Chace Newman,” syllabi from 1942-1943 and 1945-1946, general class requirements and instructions from 1941 and 1945, and a list of alumni.

The collection also includes annual reports published in the Michigan State Board of Agriculture reports for 1890-1935.

The records consist of a description of Mechanical Engineering courses and department for 1893 to 1894, a photocopy of an exam from 1895, and “Study and Practice Manual for Machinery and Instruments” by Jesse Campbell and Harold Eaton, 1949. Scope and Contents The Harry Bone scrapbook contains a student register that contains the names and addresses of various Michigan Agricultural College students from 1912 to 1914, presumably of students that knew Bone. The Howard D. Severance papers consist of his 1903 B.S. degree in the Mechanical Course and his 1913 Civil Engineering degree both from Michigan Agricultural College (now Michigan State University).

The John F. Brower papers consist of materials from his time as a student at Michigan State University including notes, class exercises, exams, textbooks, and experiments. Also included are materials from his military science classes as well as his military service.
