Scope and Contents

The Alton Wheaton papers contain primarily financial records and other forms of inventory that Wheaton took while working on his farm. There is also a small section on some of Wheaton’s community activities, some photographs of said activities, and two books on the Wheaton family genealogy. There are also a number of folders containing deeds and titles to various pieces of land Wheaton owned. There are also catalogs, plans, newsletters and brochures on farm topics.

Scope and Contents The George E. Parsons collection consists of a wide range of documents related to the dairy industry and Michigan State College (now Michigan State University). The collection has newspaper clippings discussing Parsons' accomplishments as well as other events in the world of dairy, a binder with in-depth information about the "Better Milking Clinic" that Parsons led, as well as a small group of agricultural photos. There is an Alpha Zeta fraternity pamphlet, and "A Short History of Okemos"...

The collection includes a historical review which presents a brief history of the foundation including scholarships granted, memorial honors and officers. In addition, it contains financial data and the constitution of the foundation. Also included is the 2010 issue of the foundation's annual newsletter. Electronic Resources include digital editions of the annual newsletter from 2004 to 2012.

Scope and Contents The papers of Robert P. Stephenson consist of alphabetically arranged subject files about the dairy industry. The company files contain product brochures information from specific vendors. Some company files contain correspondence relating to quotes on equipment costs. The class notes files contain notes Stephenson made and handouts from his time as a student at Michigan State University. Also included are class materials from other universities.
