George J. Wallace papers
The papers include some correspondence, course materials, bibliographies, honors and newspaper clippings on Wallace. The bulk of the materials are copies and reprints of articles that were written by Wallace. The materials deal primarily with the field of ornithology including a statement given to the House Subcommittee on Fisheries and Wildlife on the effects of DDT in 1960. Also included are issues of the Michigan Pesticide Council Newsletter.
Henry P. Attwater papers
The H. P. Attwater papers contain notebooks handwritten by Attwater between the years of 1889-1930. The notebooks are primarily daily records of weather, birds, bird eggs, or animals that Attwater observed. There are also newspaper clippings detailing the general and bizarre weather for 1894-1930. Also included is “The Standard Catalog of North American Bird Eggs” from 1905.
Miles D. Pirnie papers
This collection is includes notes, reports, correspondence, maps, and photographs relating to Pirnie’s waterfowl research and projects. Additionally, Pirnie’s bird banding notes, field observations, date books, drawings, duck decoy patterns, and a scrapbook of bird photographs are included.
