Scope and Contents

The annual reports of the Aerospace Studies Department contain enrollment statistics, staff changes, reports of extra curricular activities, budgetary information, listings of commissions, and information about the facilities of the department. The 1963 report also contains a draft and the final copy of a study entitled "Who Takes ROTC at Michigan State?" by John M. Engebresten, Gordon W. Paul, and Edward P. Ozybko.

Scope and Contents The records of University Services consist primarily of investigation into trends affecting the University. Included in this collection are reports on employment trends, staff salary, enrollment, student, staff, and alumni opinions, course loads, and grade distribution. Of special interest are reports, correspondence, monographs, and speeches relating to the question, raised in the 1950s and 1960s, of whether ROTC service on university campuses should be mandatory or remain voluntary. Scope and Contents The Gordan and Nancy Milne collection contains materials related to Gordon's military training at MSC and elsewhere as well as materials from his service in World War II. Included are aeronatical and navigation training materials, orders, military newsletters, and photographs of his time in World War II.
