The Alpha Epsilon Phi records consist of a housemother's manual from 1957. This manual outlines the duties and responsibilities of the housemother, which includes advising the chapter, advising individual members, and maintaining the house. The manual contains guidelines for members on proper etiquette with regards to the housemother. The collection also contains one photograph of an event.

Scope and Contents

The collection consists a booklet titled "The Technique of Good Manners: a handbook for College Men" by Mary Perin Barker (1935), a June 1932 commencement program, a MSC Concert Course program featuring George Barrere, Lewis Richards and Michael Press (March 2, 1932), "Songs of Michigan State College" (1931), a Green Splash Women's Swimming Club program (April 27, 1932), and an oversize sheet of red tissue paper with Japanese characters.

Scope and Contents The material in the Barnes collection encompasses the period 1846 to 1899. Barnes graduated from the University of Michigan in 1850 and settled in Lansing to practice law. After establishing his reputation, he became attorney for the Jackson, Lansing, and Saginaw Railroad. Scope and Contents

The Spartan Women's League records consists of correspondence, constitutions of the organization, event programs, a history of the organization, membership lists, newspaper clippings, and a faculty questionnaire. Also included are two campus etiquette books, "We Like It This Way at Michigan State College" and "This We Do at MSU." The collection also contains photographs of members and activities.
