Scope and Contents

The David Maslanka papers consists of am oversize photocopy of the score Symphony No. 2 by David Maslanka. The symphony was commissioned in 1983 by the Big Ten Band Directors Association. It is dedicated to H. Owen Reed on the occassion of his 75th birthday. Also included is a February 1986 letter from Maslanka to H. Owen Reed giving info about the performances for the symphonies and hopes Reed likes the score.

Sheet music consists of Reed's compositions including manuscripts, published versions, and transparencies used to make the published versions.
