Scope and Contents

This collection consists of a manuscript, "Personal Recollections of the Government Crop Reporting Service", written in 1943 by Verne H. Church (1875-1949). Church was the first Agricultural Statistician in Michigan for the Bureau of Crop Estimates, known today as the Bureau of Agricultural Economics. He held this position from 1914 to 1942.
