The Guy Speeker papers contain gradebooks for mathematics and physics classes that Speeker taught at Michigan Agricultural College (now Michigan State University). Also included are letters of recommendation for Speeker, correspondence from Speeker as dormitory inspector and correspondence regarding World War I. There is a newspaper clipping about the resignation of M.A.C. President Jonathan Snyder and postcards of M.A.C. students and faculty.
This collection includes seventy six post cards that depict pictures of a variety of local and national topics. The topics include businesses, farming/agricultural tools, historic events, war, military, music, festivals, ceremonies, Native Americans, presidents, senators, governors, the University of Michigan, saw mills, logging, and transportation. It appears that Harry C. Hill, of Flint, Michigan, is the creator of most of the postcards.
The Harry Newnham collection contains photographs and postcards of Saugatuck, Michigan circa 1900, schooners, steamships, ferries, and boats.
