The collection consists of photocopies of several United States military documents, including discharge papers of Native American scouts.
Charles H. Gorsuch papers
These papers contain military records (1861-1866) of Captain Charles H. Gorsuch, who commanded Company K, 38th Ohio Infantry during the Civil War. The records include clothing and equipment inventories, invoices for ordinance and ordinance stores, and equipment depositions. Also included are correspondence, legal documents and receipts relating to Gorsuch's involvement in farming and in business activities after the war in Ohio and then in Waldron, Hillsdale County, Michigan.

The collection consists of annual reports, publications, event brochures, course descriptions, and undergraduate handbooks. Of note are the annual reports and undergraduate handbooks. The reports contain information on departmental activities, curriculum, staff changes, enrollment, research, publications, and faculty activities. The handbooks contain information on geography at MSU, course offerings, specialization policies, facilities, career guidance, faculty lists and faculty vitae.

Edward Hutchings papers
The Edward Hutchings papers contain correspondence of Hutchings, primarily letters to his mother that were mostly written in October and November of 1945, although there is also one letter from 1937. The collection also contains photographs of Hutchings, his friends, and Nina Dudley’s relatives, some dated mid-1943, but most undated.

This collection consists of one document, a certificate awarded to Roy E. Smith for completion of a Special Course in Creamery Management and Butter-making at Michigan Agricultural College in 1906.
