Scope and Contents These papers contain military records (1861-1866) of Captain Charles H. Gorsuch, who commanded Company K, 38th Ohio Infantry during the Civil War. The records include clothing and equipment inventories, invoices for ordinance and ordinance stores, and equipment depositions. Also included are correspondence, legal documents and receipts relating to Gorsuch's involvement in farming and in business activities after the war in Ohio and then in Waldron, Hillsdale County, Michigan.

Scope and Contents The Edward Hutchings papers contain correspondence of Hutchings, primarily letters to his mother that were mostly written in October and November of 1945, although there is also one letter from 1937.
