Scope and Contents

The collection contains material related to hydroplane racing. Included are race programs, 1969-1976; newspaper clippings, 1974; and, sports sections of newspapers, 1974-1976. Hydroplane racing, as well as personalities (owners, sponsors and pilots) involved in the sport during the first half of the 1970s are presented.

Scope and Contents This collection contains fourteen color slides of relocating the locomotive Engine 1225 previously stationed near the corner of Shaw Lane and Red Cedar Drive to the tracks near the Department of Public Safety on November 30, 1980 and thirty-five black and white negatives with proof sheet depicting transfer of Engine 1225 to the tracks belonging to the Michigan High School Athletic Association (Trowbridge Road, East Lansing) on May 26, 1981.
