Scope and Contents This collection consists of a photocopy of an unpublished manuscript, "Journey into the Wilderness," a narrative history of the Pemberton family of Mecosta County, Michigan from 1863 to 1907. In her book, the author and illustrator, Nell Pemberton-Rosenzweig, also tells how she became interested in her family history and came to write their story.
