The John Delavan papers include curriculum materials for veterinary classes at Michigan State University and Alma College, reprints of veterinary health articles by MSU faculty on poultry and streptococcic infections in dogs, a program for a Post-Graduate Veterinary Conference at MSU, and a Laying House Program-Poultry Conservation for Victory brochure from 1943.

This collection consists of an early draft and publisher submitted versions of the book "Henrik Joakim Stafseth and public health veterinarians," which was later published in 2005 by the Iowa State University Press.
