African Agricultural Mechanization Study records
The African Agricultural Mechanization Study records contain administrative and accounting records, correspondence, and progress and final reports. Technical records consist primarily of information on hydraulic systems, also some on agriculture and various African countries. Also includes a few workshop and colloquium records, and records for the U.S. Agency for International Development.
Andrew Hunt collection
The Andrew Hunt collection includes tax receipts (1844-1866) for land in Ingham County, Michigan, a road district labor assessment for Ingham Township, Ingham County, Michigan (1882), a copy of American Swineherd for July 1891, a People's Party state ticket for New York (circa 1870), a National Greenback ticket (circa 1884), and a brochure (1872) describing the Dodge Reaper and Mower.
Fred Byers collection
The Fred Byers Collection contains photographs of agricultural machinery and postcards of the construction of the Chicago, Milwaukee, and St. Paul Railroad.
H. Cecil Wolsey collection
Much of the collection consists of Wolsey's copies of booklets, brochures, catalogs, and manuals concerning combines, corn pickers, and other machinery and parts made by and for the Oliver Corporation. Additional items included in the collection are production charts (1960-1962), speed charts for various machines, correspondence regarding a damage suit against the company (1967), and books on machinery and engineering principles.
Moore's Rural New-Yorker records
This collection consists of newspaper clippings (1869-1872) from Moore's Rural New-Yorker, the bulk of which deal with farm machinery, crops, and various breeds or cattle, horses, and poultry. Also included are an article and drawing of the celebrations in Paris at the end of the Franco-Prussian War.
