Davis B. Hillmer collection
The David B. Hillmer Collection contains 97 photographs primarily of Detroit buildings, street scenes, retail interiors, and retail window displays. J.L. Hudson Company comprises the bulk of the retail collection.
Detroit Gazette collection
This collection contains microfilm of volumes 1-13 (1817-1830) of the Detroit Gazette, a French-English weekly newspaper published in Detroit by John P. Sheldon and Ebenezer Reed. The editors were also the public printers for the territory.

Elisha Cross papers
The Elisha Cross papers include an illustrated physics manual given to Cross in 1832 by John B. Calhoun ("President of the Moulders of the Howell Works Co."). Cross and his daughter, Susan, used the manual for a personal journal, scrapbook and botanical notebook (including plant specimens). The papers also contain a photographic copy of a drawing of the Hance farm and documents related to real estate Cross owned in the Detroit area.

The entries are for colleges in: Connecticut, Vermont, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Ohio, West Virginia, New Hampshire, Maine, Maryland, Indiana, Massachusetts, New York, and Rhode Island.
