The collection contains a full run of 24 issues of Broadside newspaper published in Flint, Michigan from 2009-2014. The newspaper includes articles related to issues in Flint as well as national issues, poetry, commentary, and photographs. Other topics incude people and business in the Flint community. MSU professor, Bonnie Bucqueroux, contributed articles to the newspaper.
C. W. Neff collection
This collection contains four account books listing expenses for a family living in Flint, Michigan, and later Toledo, Ohio, in the years 1908-1922. The books are very detailed and list expenses for food, clothing, rent, travel, entertainment, and household furnishings.

The topics include businesses, farming/agricultural tools, historic events, war, military, music, festivals, ceremonies, Native Americans, presidents, senators, governors, the University of Michigan, saw mills, logging, and transportation. It appears that Harry C. Hill, of Flint, Michigan, is the creator of most of the postcards.
