The collection consists of photographs of professors and students from Michigan Agricultural College (M.A.C., now Michigan State University). Edgar Burnett graduated in 1887 and later taught livestock courses. Lyster Dewey graduated 1888 and went with W. J. Beal on the 1888 expedition to survey Michigan's cutover forest.
Perry Holden graduated in 1889 and worked with and taught field crops.
