Floyd M. Barden papers

Scope and Contents
The Floyd M. Barden papers consist of an oral history interview conducted by Frank Dennis in 1973. Barden discusses fruit farming in South Haven (1850-1900), his experiences while a student at Michigan Agricultural College (1904-1908), and his later interaction with the College, particularly his work with the Cooperative Extension Service (circa 1910-1930). The collection includes an audio cassette and transcription of the interview.

George Parsons papers

The George E. Parsons collection consists of a wide range of documents related to the dairy industry and Michigan State College (now Michigan State University). The collection has newspaper clippings discussing Parsons' accomplishments as well as other events in the world of dairy, a binder with in-depth information about the "Better Milking Clinic" that Parsons led, as well as a small group of agricultural photos. The collection contains trip reports, correspondence, slides, maps and travel booklets related to Schlubatis' time spent working as an agriculture agent overseas. There are also awards, scrapbooks, and photographs. Also included are materials related to his wife Harriet Schlubatis including awards, a Michigan Normal School yearbook, and a student expense register.
