Scope and Contents This collection contains correspondence (1865-1887) between members of the Noddins family of Ionia, Michigan, primarily Civil War letters from Sarah and Robert Noddins to their son, Thomas, in the Union Army. The letters often mention a son William but he is actually the son-in-law, William Hicking.Also included is a lecture on the capture of John Wilkes Booth, given on speaking tours by Luther B. Scope and Contents The Edward Pettengill collection consists of four photographs and an invitation to the 1895 MAC Junior Hop. The invitation probably belonged to Perry Holden. The photographs include a group portrait probably taken around 1890 or 1891 when Edward Pettengill was at Michigan Agricultural College. Edward Pettengill is labeled "Edd." The George J. Jenks collection contains photographs of the following people: A. E. Bulson Jr., Ruby I. Edwards, George Jenks, Frank Kedzie, Robert C. Kedzie, Francis McGrath, John O'Bannon, N. L. Russurau, Frank R. Whiting, and R. H. Wilson. The collection also includes photographs of the 1886 M.A.C. (Michigan Agrucultural College, now Michigan State University) baseball team and mechanical students outside the iron shop in 1886.

Scope and Contents

This collection contains the organic chemistry notes of Oliver C. Hollister. The first page of the notebook contains a table of contents to all the topics covered in the notebook. Some topics include formic acid, glucose, chloroform, vegetable acids, and starches. The notebook also includes sketches of certain lab set ups and newspaper clippings. This class was taught by Robert C. Kedzie.
