This collection consists of personal papers of Chace Newman, including correspondence, newspaper articles, papers he authored, manuscripts, notes, drawings, collected research materials, a scrapbook of events and happenings at the college, and other materials he used to teach courses in mechanical drawing and design. Scope and Contents
The scrapbook contains postcards and photographs depicting campus life at Michigan Agricultural College, with a few scenes of Lansing and Grand Ledge. The photographs are of high quality and in excellent condition. They include scenes of buildings on campus, dorm life, canoeing on the Red Cedar River, and other college activities. The photographs have been indexed in the Photograph catalogue.
