Ethel Rathke papers

Scope and Contents

The bulk of this collection consists of scrapbooks. The twenty scrapbooks are filled with newspaper clippings, magazine articles, and pictures covering such diverse topics as World War II, the Middle East, Lansing and East Lansing, Japanese culture and flower gardening. Also included are Ethel Rathke's prose and poetry and her correspondence with publishing companies, friends, and acquaintances.

Frances Potter collection

Scope and Contents The Frances Potter collection contains postcards, a brochure, and a photograph. The postcards include an image of the sunken garden in the Beal Botanical Garden at Michigan State College (now Michigan State University) with a note on the back about attending Farm Women's Week as a delegate from the Home Economics Club in July 1934. Scope and Contents The Frederick C. Belen papers contain photographs related to Belen's career. Images include scenes of Belen with people and groups, including giving speeches, presenting gifts to dignitaries, and on tours. Glenford S. Leonard papers

Scope and Contents

The Glenford S. Leonard papers contain primarily information on Leonard’s post-Michigan State University career. One topic, which became a specialty of Leonard’s, and which is covered extensively in the collection is the integration of police and fire services. Leonard helped implement the integration in several towns in Michigan and often checked the progress of integration in other communities.
