The David Maslanka papers consists of am oversize photocopy of the score Symphony No. 2 by David Maslanka. The symphony was commissioned in 1983 by the Big Ten Band Directors Association. It is dedicated to H. Owen Reed on the occassion of his 75th birthday. Also included is a February 1986 letter from Maslanka to H. Owen Reed giving info about the performances for the symphonies and hopes Reed likes the score.

Scope and Contents The H. Owen Reed collection contains correspondencedate books, sheet music, audio recordings and photographs. Sheet music consists of Reed's compositions including manuscripts, published versions, and transparencies used to make the published versions. Audio recordings include cassettes of performances of Reed's music by various groups. There are also cassettes of music by Reed's pupils and Michigan State University bands and groups. Scope and Contents The Wallace De Pue papers consist of sheet music composed by Wallace De Pue. Some of the compositions include drafts as well as the finished piece. The pieces include choral music, orchestral music and a few operas. The collection also contains a small amount of correspondence as well as concert programs, and honors and awards.
