The Dorothy Pettit Reed Collection contains the book 14 Faculty Row: A Historical Account of Michigan Agricultural College Now Known as Michigan State University by Dorothy Pettit Reed. The book contains remiscences of her childhood living in faculty housing on the campus of Michigan Agricultural College.

The collection consists of glass plate negatives depicting an unidentified family at home and contains images of the family members posing at various places around the home. The images may be of Professor Rufus Hiram Pettit's family. He is not pictured but his name was written on the original box. There are also 2 pictures of the cast of a theatrical performance.

Michigan Agricultural College (now Michigan State University) memorabilia includes a class rivalry poster (1915), seven photographs of campus depicting an elk in the campus deer park, a group of people at Lake Lansing, M.A.C. faculty/staff circa 1899-1900, R. H. Pettit in an REO automobile, and A. J. Cook at the campus apiary. There is also one letter (1954), and one newsclipping of Professor R. H. Pettit's obituary.
