This collection contains Norris C. Bryson's 1979 dissertation entitled “The Response of the Cooperative Extension Service to the Great Depression in Michigan, 1929-1938.” The dissertation outlines the priorities of the programs, personnel, and budget from 1929 to 1938, and how these priorities reflected both the local and national demands placed on the Extension Service.
