From the Collection:

The photographic materials include photos from Harold P. Thomas consisting of two photos taken in 1918 of cars; Camp Wadsworth in Spartanburg, South Carolina circa 1918 including a man in a World War I uniform; St. Andrew’s Parish Church in Charleston, South Carolina; Magnolia Gardens in Charleston, South Carolina; the Rifle River in Michigan; Pisgah National Forest in North Carolina; as well as trees and a flower arrangement.

The Benjamin H. Thomas photographic materials consist of glass negatives. The negatives are a portrait of B. H. Thomas as well as one showing B. H. Thomas reading. Both have negatives in two different sizes. Also included are a glass negative of a portrait of an unidentified man which is labeled “cautaucl”[?] on the original envelope, and a teenaged boy in the woods. There are also film negatives of a boy and a girl in the woods, and an image of a line of children walking in the woods.

The papers are related to Benjamin Hampson Thomas, Jr. They consist of travel voucher issued by the U.S. Secretary of State in 1906, an official document in an Arabic language, the poem “Life’s Galilee,” 1926, watch fob with note, 1931, and a diploma on vellum in Latin.
