Scope and Contents
A Place to Grow portrays the important role of the performing arts at Michigan State University. The film presents the University's exciting plans for a new $16 million Center for the Performing Arts, which will provide a superb showcase for campus and guest artists, as well as modern teaching facilities for faculty and students. President Clifton R. Wharton, Jr. and Mrs. Dolores Wharton appear at the end of the film to emphasize the importance of creating a new performing arts center at Michigan State.
