Footage of the September 1970 non-conference game against the Washington State Cougars at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing, Michigan. MSU Head Coach - Duffy Daugherty; Washington State Head Coach - Jim Sweeney. Spartans won 28-14.

Images include the raising of the American flag, Duffy Daugherty coming onto the field alone after his team, a shot of the seating configuration of the stadium at the time, silent halftime footage of the 16th annual Band Day (featuring the Spartan Marching Band under the direction of MSU's new Director of Bands, Kenneth Bloomquist, and marching units from 39 Michigan high schools), and end-of-game celebrations taking place on the field.
