Floyd von Richter collection
Scope and Contents
This collection contains dance orchestra music in arrangements popular throughout central Michigan in the early 1900s. The collection includes photographs of Floyd von Richter, orchestras and miscellaneous people and also includes sheet music published in Lansing, Michigan by von Richter as well as other composers. There is also included a document showing von Richter's competency in piano tuning and repair.

Biographical/Historical
Floyd von Richter (1868-1945) was a violist from Fowlerville, Michigan. He was also a publisher of sheet music. His grandson, Roger Grove, is an alumnus of Michigan State University.
