Robert Gartung collection
Scope and Contents
The Robert Gartung collection contains photographs of campus taken from 1935 to 1950 and 1984. The photos include Old Horticulture building, Entomology building, Student Services, Beaumont Tower, and the Spartan Statue. There are also photographs of the horticulture gardens next to the Old Horticulture building, the Red Cedar River in winter, as well as a photograph of Robert Gartung in graduation robes.

Biographical Note
Robert Arthur Gartung (1921-2004) was from Lansing, Michigan. He graduated from Michigan State College in 1942 with a degree in Business Administration. After graduation he severed as an assistant to the Personal Officer of the State Agriculture Department. Robert Gartung wife's name was Leah.
