Scope and Contents
The collection consists of two papers written for Michigan State University class projects by Jacqueline Holecek. “The Union Building at Michigan State University” was written in 1994 for class Human Environment and Design 851. It traces the history of the MSU Union and provides information on the architects Pond & Pond. The paper also includes information on the artists who also contributed to the building, Samuel Caswan, Leonard Jungwirth, John Martelly, and Edgar Yaeger.
“Archival Research in the R.E. Olds Mansion in Lansing, Michigan” was written in 1995 for class HED 852. The paper provides Olds family history and a history and description of the mansion.
