Scope and Contents
The collection consists of the DVD "Dixie Durr: a tribute." Directed by Peter Eichler, the DVD was created for Dixie Durr's retirement from the Theater Department at Michigan State University. The DVD, which is 15 minutes long, features students and colleagues talking about Durr, including Annie Stulberg, Shawn Bible, Kista Tucker, Maxine Durr (Dixie's mother), Wesley Broadnax, Rob Roznowski, MSU President Lou Anna Simon, Ray Robinson and the members of Happendance. There are student dance segments; one including Marlo dell'Antonio. There are photos of dance students as well as portraits of Durr. One segment is filmed in the Michigan State University Auditorium.

Biographical Note
Peter Eichler graduated from Michigan State University with a B.A. in Music. While attending, he was a member of the Spartan Marching Band where he played the mellophone.
Eichler joined the MSU winterguard staff as co-director of State of Art in 2007 and joined the Spartan Marching Band Colorguard staff fall of 2011.
He is the Event and Promotion Coordinator for the East Lansing-based Douglas J Companies.
