This collection contains the memoir titled "Ox Yoke to Diesel" by Nyle L. Katz. Katz was a farmer whose family has been working the land since 1866 all while maintaining traditions of hard work, honesty, and strong family ties. The volume was copyrighted by the author in 1981.

Biographical Note
Nyle L. Katz was born in Michigan’s Fredonia Township on May 26, 1911. He graduated from Marshall High School and later from Argubrites Business College in Battle Creek. A lifelong farmer, he was also very active in his community, serving as the legislative director for the Michigan farmers union, as well as many other activities.
