Abstract
This folder contains correspondences between the MSU administration and student organizations, Mexa’s independent demands for Xicano Studies, and demands to the university submitted by APASO, CHISPA, and MEChA. It also includes a 1992 letter from Guyer to the Coalition of Concerned Chicano/Latino and Asian Pacific American Students in response to a December 1992 List of Demands for Action on student services and programming for students of color. Also included is a 1993 6-page letter from Rudy Hernandez, King-Chavez-Park Program coordinator, to Guyer's "insensitive and patronizing nature" at a meeting towards a Coalition of Chicano/Latino and Asian Pacific American students discussing Chicano Studies and Asian American Studies. It also discusses the history of ethnic studies and the history of students of color at MSU.
