Abstract
Edited by Edward Read Barton, published by Greenwood Publishing Group, Inc. 2000. This book started out as a thematic issue of the Journal of Men’s Studies. The response for the call for manuscripts was so strong with good articles that Jim Doyle, editor of JMS indicated that this was beyond the capacity of JMS. So book proposal were submitted to a number of publishers and Greenwood agreed to publish it. Sales were so good that the initial run was sold out and a supplemental printing was done.
