Donald Yates and Rodolfo Walsh correspondence and manuscripts, 1954 - 1964
Scope and Contents
Correspondence primarily between Yates and Walsh on subjects such as writing and literature and evolved to reporting on the political turmoil of the military coup. One letter, dated Marzo 1, 1957, Walsh describes in English executions on June 9, 1956 where six survivors escaped which became the impetus for his multi-installation story, "Operación Masacre." Also includes a reproduction of the denuncia by Juan Carlos Livraga printed in a newspaper and typescripts of "Resucita un Fusilado en la Argentina" and "El Caso Livraga."
