Accompanied by two letters (typescript signed) from H. Hamer of Bolton Public Libraries to W.H. Lawson, Esq., Guildford. These are dated 25th and 26th July 1933 and concern test results which showed that the postmarks on two similar Whitman postcards had indeed been stamped over the handwriting, contrary to their appearance which had led to suspicions of forgery.
