Scope and Contents

1st NRR Kenya and Abyssinia Advance into Ethiopia photograph album consists of 81 photographs in corners mount on 22 album leaves. The images depict white and Black soldiers, African people, wildlife, cattle, village life, and some photographs of killed people. Locations photographs include Nairobi, the Rift Valley in Kenya, Kolbio, Bardera, Tana River, Moyale, Yavello, Soropa, Giarso, Chinchilla, and the Alghe Forest.

Scope and Contents

The scrapbook contains newspaper clippings about the company's entry candidate in the Miss Victory contest, winning the "E" award, and war bonds for workers. Also included are certificates and photographs, some with captions, of people working in various departments including women, and the "E" award ceremony.

The collection consists of nine photographs taken during Abelow's stay at Michigan State College. The photographs have been glued on pages and have captions written beside them. The collection includes a picture of Company B on parade, winter scenes of the Red Cedar River, views of campus, Abelow and other Army Specialized Training Program (ASTP) members in the Union Lounge, and a winter scene of North Hall with ASTP members in front.

The Carl Wilbur Saldeen collection contains a student receipt from 1946. The receipt lists the fees Saldeen paid.
