Scope and Content

This collection contains Edward Everett Gallup’s notes from a general chemistry course taught by Frank Kedzie. The notes cover a wide range of subjects such as batteries, chemical affinity, gasses, electrolysis, and elements. There are also notes on organic chemistry which include nomenclature and reactions, different sugars, and carbohydrates.

Scope and Contents The papers of Peter Felker consist of three diaries for 1868, 1869, and 1870, in which he details his life as a student at Michigan Agricultural College. The diaries include descriptions of course work, work done for the college, and leisure activities. He also describes travel and work in Jackson, Michigan. Scope and Contents The papers of Robert Clark Kedzie consist primarily of materials relating to his position at Michigan Agricultural College (now Michigan State University) as a professor of chemistry from 1863 to his death in 1902.
